This exterior renovation project in Andover, Massachusetts included the complete rebuilding of two front entryways along with the replacement of an aging brick walkway.
The entry located between the home and garage received a new platform and staircase. The steps were expanded across the full width of the space, creating a wider and more welcoming entrance. Low-maintenance composite decking was installed on the platform and stair treads, while durable PVC trim was used on the risers and exposed sides of the stair stringers.
The home’s main front entry was rebuilt using masonry materials selected to complement the exterior of the house. Dark brick was installed along the sides of the platform and on the stair risers. Granite slabs were then added to the landing and stair treads, providing a durable, refined finish.
To complete the project, the existing brick walkway was removed and replaced with a new paver walkway extending from the front entrance to the driveway. The finished improvements create safer, more functional entryways while significantly updating the home’s curb appeal.
