North Reading Backyard Addition & Outdoor Living Enhancement
ACE Home Medics completed a custom backyard addition project in North Reading, MA designed to elevate the homeowner’s outdoor living space into a functional, high-end entertainment and relaxation area. The project combined custom carpentry, hardscape integration, and outdoor kitchen enhancements to create a seamless extension of the home.

The centerpiece of this backyard transformation is a custom-built timber pavilion structure installed over a fully integrated outdoor kitchen and grilling station. The pavilion was designed to provide year-round protection and comfort while enhancing the visual appeal of the backyard environment.
The structure features:
- Heavy timber post-and-beam construction
- Decorative black steel hardware accents
- Custom gable roof framing
- Standing seam metal roofing system for long-term durability and weather resistance
- Open-air design for ventilation and visibility throughout the pool and patio area
Outdoor Kitchen Integration
Under the pavilion, ACE Home Medics incorporated a built-in outdoor kitchen featuring:
- Stainless steel grill and cabinetry
- Stone veneer island surround
- Functional prep and serving space
- Covered cooking area for all-weather usability
The pavilion was carefully positioned to maximize access between the patio, pool, and entertainment areas while maintaining open sightlines across the backyard.
Hardscape & Backyard Enhancements
The project also included integration with the existing paver patio system and pool surround, creating a cohesive outdoor layout. The design complements the home’s rear elevation and provides a dedicated covered gathering space adjacent to the pool area.
